Saint Joseph whites can often feel heavy — overwrought. As if they’re attempting to don the same mantle as the gamey Syrah the north is known for. Not Aurelien’s. This blend of Marsanne and Roussanne sees 8-10 months of elevage in barrel. It’s bright and fresh with generous acidity — a delicious anomaly. You’ll get notes of marzipan, apricot, beeswax, chamomile, jasmine, and herbs with a slaty mineral finish.
